People like Shiff or Nadler, Pelosi, Shummer have been at it for decades and they keep getting elected. How do they do it? What is it the people see in them that they keep sending them back. Just wanting to see the world burn or something? (retorical question)

2019-10-05 01:38:49 UTC

I'm not term limit advocate at this point. The reason is that I don't want my freedom of choice taken from me. yes it has some bad consequences but serious consideration must be given b4 taking ones rights away.

2019-10-05 01:39:45 UTC

Now having said that, should our constitution get amended lawfully to do that I wouldn't lose a great deal of sleep but others may.

2019-10-05 01:40:07 UTC

Y'all have a blessed night

2019-10-05 01:40:11 UTC

How is it they managed to limit a president to only two terms, but yet congress/senate forever and ever.

2019-10-05 01:40:19 UTC

Take care @Coolbreeze

2019-10-05 01:41:42 UTC

local versus national positions @kazzoo

2019-10-05 01:42:19 UTC

A state can't elect the Pres but its reps and senators certainly are

2019-10-05 01:42:36 UTC

hence why elections are always local

2019-10-05 01:43:28 UTC

I just dont see the will even to do a Constitutional convention to address this. Imagine it trying to get through State radification.

2019-10-05 01:45:09 UTC

Personally @kazzoo I am also not for a state convention on this issue...to many things could go wrong today that may serve to infringe more on God (not government) given freedom(rights).

2019-10-05 01:45:42 UTC

it's not the term that bothers me the most, its the 8 digit bank balance they have, on a 6 digit pay check

2019-10-05 01:46:26 UTC

By the way @kazzoo u mentioned state ratifications.....there are a couple amendments that did not go thru state ratifications.

2019-10-05 01:47:13 UTC

And there is a least one that did and is no longer published.😲

2019-10-05 01:48:25 UTC

Was reading a bit about the controversy if the Constitution was "legal" in that sense. Only because the People have agreed and endorsed it as it is that makes it so.

2019-10-05 01:51:05 UTC

@kazzoo God gave man the right to create government.....

2019-10-05 01:51:13 UTC

81 days 5 hours 8 min 44 sec til Christmas.

2019-10-05 01:53:34 UTC

26 days 6 min 35 sec til Halloween. That is for you Groot

2019-10-05 01:53:50 UTC

You mean I have to wait that long for 8 Chan to come back?

2019-10-05 01:54:21 UTC

i hope not

2019-10-05 01:54:29 UTC

Government is a Trust of the people.. Ours was created on the 17th day of September 1787 as the 7 Articles contained in the Constitution for the United States of America.

2019-10-05 01:54:32 UTC

The infinity sign could be the bow on my present.

2019-10-05 01:58:57 UTC

I personally have lost Trust and do not see it as a vehicle of promoting my life, liberty or happiness. I see as a robber along the wayside seeking to take things from me. It says it will use the money to benefit me of course. I pay up because of the threat of harm and hope they will leave me be for a bit.

2019-10-05 02:00:00 UTC

We live in a corrupt world.. but we have to have hope or we have nothing.

2019-10-05 02:01:00 UTC

and faith

2019-10-05 02:01:04 UTC

Its like land in the US. you pay "taxes" forever on it. Dont pay it and see if you really own it.

2019-10-05 02:01:46 UTC

@kazzoo which brings us back to your original point. How do we regain that Trust (which still exists) constitutionally and lawfully.

2019-10-05 02:02:13 UTC

Its like you paint your house because you like pretty or you want to maintain it. The tax man says "nice" you owe more for it now in taxes.

2019-10-05 02:02:39 UTC

or it's like living in an HOA

2019-10-05 02:02:45 UTC

where they decide everythign

2019-10-05 02:03:32 UTC

@Notsoperfect you agreed to the HOA contract.

2019-10-05 02:03:44 UTC

Thank you

2019-10-05 02:04:00 UTC

🤦🏻

2019-10-05 02:04:39 UTC

Well you must have thought the benefits would outweigh the loss of freedom of action perhaps.

2019-10-05 02:05:33 UTC

I didn't. But out here in AZ most homes are in an HOA .. not much of a choice

2019-10-05 02:06:06 UTC

Seem like a choice to me, NOT

2019-10-05 02:06:08 UTC

Stories of HOA board members having a walk about you property and peaking in windows to see if they can find non-compliance I have read about.

2019-10-05 02:06:53 UTC

not really @Groot

2019-10-05 02:06:56 UTC

ugh

2019-10-05 02:09:27 UTC

@kazzoo land is very special thing...and I have way to much to say on that topic to address in chat.😂 Suffice it to say, most people do not know what it is.😲

2019-10-05 02:10:46 UTC

@Notsoperfect a lot of HOA overreach their authority...huh just like congress.....but it is up to the individual to keep them in check.
