This may be old news, was digging around on a distraction... lost german gold of ww2... ran across a paragraph in an article that grabbed my attention.
Escaping SS General Ernst Kaltenbrunner resided at Villa Kerry in Altaussee, Austria. The Villa was built by relatives of Secretary of State John Kerry. If you appreciated the movie The Monuments Men, the town was known for its salt mine where the Nazi war loot was stashed. It's a small world for those who practice evil. The Kerry's changed their name from the original Kohn some time before. Talk about the luck of the 'Irish.' I wonder if John spent his youth around Altaussee digging for treasure. Many personal troves were buried in the hills and vicinity.
