The shutdown is only a partial shutdown and only nonessential work was stopped. As congress voted to go home during the shutdown I assume they too are nonessential, though they are paid? Washington believe they are better than the rest of us. Much of Washington is not needed and actually does more harm than good. They could come back to work, even though nonessential, if they passed a budget that included the money for the wall. Just take it out of the foreign aid budget that is 3x the amount needed for the wall.
