Be Careful What You Eat – FDA Stops Most Food Inspections

This is the longest government shutdown in United States history.
Most food safety inspections have been halted as a result. However, the FDA plans to resume some of the inspections. In order to make this work, they'll have to ask furloughed workers to come in and work. The FDA will still be announcing recalls, but they won't be looking for salmonella, listeria, or e. Coli.
