My dad enjoyed Marine band music, he was Navy, few things he told me was he joined the Navy to die clean and not in mud. He landed in Incheon . Frostbite and life long connections with US marines and Aussies. My dad never talked about it, I'd overhear poker game talk, other than hints. It was his friends that respected him that made me open my eyes. so dad passed in 2011, and wish he could have been here to see what is happening. He was old school, full of commons sense , loved history and loved to go and see things.
