i wish folk like that never existed, this world would have been an amazing place
im just thankful there are good folk in this world and some of them are here on psb
i have been really delving into Kevin Annett's work, have you heard of him? i posted in the link section a few interviews of him on youtube
i am sure they are not easily found by now since that was yesterday
Regarding those that desire to live out in rural areas because cities and suburbs are NOT lookinggood to them any longer - for family and children and economics, etc... they should be able to work from home - many have not just work from home for another company, but want to have their own business and HS Internet access is necessary to sell what they make or grow or whatever.
yesss omg , i would so work online from home but i have had too many hackers in times past, i am a rare case
to earn an income from home online for an occupation would be a super saver in travelling costs and so many other ways to reduce basic cost of up keep of a vehicle
to even then have delivery service to the home with food and supplies from various of companies that provide that
omg we have some pigs in my home town , i am not so happy with where it is going, i hope in time those kind move out of my area... people who are looking for work that own either a contracting company or pave driveways etc often intrude by knocking on my door wanting to pave my drive way and each year i tell them the same exact thing, stay off my drive way and i do not want your services, they are very rude mean and shady
i just find that unprofessional and very sketchy and we do not live in the 50's where they did not have internet and door to door salesmen were the only way to advertise
Well, out in the country - like where I live, there are so many more possibilities... People make all sorts of stuff - whether making stuff in a home shop or growing something - raising bees for honey or bees wax, growing herbs or other things that can be dried or heirloom veggies to dry for seeds for others, etc. Guys make all sorts or stuff or even restore stuff scrounging around in old barns and junkyards that people want and need for their own projects...
i live in the country , and sadly people here are a bit cold , we do not have a tight knit community like you seem to have
it once was like that back in a day when my dad and his generation of folk were alive, but much has changed in the past 40 years since then, i never grew up with that
A midwest state?
ah no, i am in Maryland
Oh. that's just norteast of me
found out by my sons who are adults , they have pals who live in various of states across the US and they said Maryland is a very difficult place to live and people are commonly difficult to get along with in this state where as they said their experiences in other states people on the job are far easier to work with than here
i never knew that, i just thought everyone everywhere was like this
we are strongly considering to move out of state in a few years, we are taking our time to think that one out , no hasty decisions
my middle son who is in the marines said when he gets out he will take the job offer from Space X as a security guard and wanted me to move with him to split the cost of living , that will be somewhere out in the desert lol , i think that would be cool
here is a strange thing: people have been migrating from the northern "blue" states for the obvious reason - their states are high taxes, Dem run, nasty people and crime, etc., So, they decide to move south where folks get along, low taxes, reasonable realestate prices and cost of living, etc. They used to move to Florida or somewhere like that. Now, they're stopping in Virginia and North Carolina and bringing their "blue state" ideals and all with them and Virginia is now looking like they state will become blue and Socialist-left. We have criminal Sen. Mark Warner and Sen. Tim Kaine (HRC's VP) and infanticide governor Northam, Sex predator Lt Gov Fairfax
Out in the desert? Like Arizona? Nevada?
that makes so much sense
when my middle son served in 8th and I in DC, he said that place was horrible, people on edge , we visited him once when he was off duty
@Rekkedge If you do that, you may want to rent for 6-12 months to get the lay of the land in terms of costs, locations, the people. Just a suggestion.
he refused to use the tram , tons of off duty marines were injured a a few died at trams from attackers, so we would pick him up on his time off to be at home until he was cleared and allowed to drive by car
Hey @Rekkedge most would pin my state as "blue", but as are most, it's the cities... I went to NC in the motorhome a few years back, and up through TN and I loved the area... I am a backwoods redneck and self sufficient so I love the back country
@the Steward If I do what?
that is good advice that is the route we were going to take Steward
Good evening you filthy savages 🙂
Deplorables the lot of you
we have a few ideas as possible options when moving, we were either going to rent at an el cheapo motel for a month or so, or buy a mini mobile home as a long term investment and live out of that till we located a house to buy
<- Walmart person, but only occationally "smelly"
what happens up here, is the boston and NY city folk want to get away from the BS they have allowed to happen in their own state, so they buy a place here, then bitch because there's no garbage truck or who knows what that they seem to think they "need" and go trying to change the area into what they left... I guess that's the issue everywhere that is "country" when the city folk invade!!!
because we know that some places that rent apparments etc might only come with a year contract that we do not want to commit to
@Bobs YurUncle ... LMAO! yup we are!
hahahha Rekkage
me to!
If you move elsewhere in the country. Gives you time to check out an area and not buy too high. Its a common practice among those who move a lot. eYou can either pay too much or wait a while and give yourself some time to get familiar with the areas Real estate prices.
exactly Steward
Happy Friday. Got a chilly bevey, a warm humid weekend coming a clean swimming pool. LIFE is good
