Down South I first got acquainted with "Chickory" which they roast the roots and tastes like coffee - there was a coffee brand in Tidewater that was actually part coffee and part Chickory for the hard-core nostalgic Southerners

Trader Joe's carries this coffee.

I try to buy in bulk(prepper) from local farms and preserve and store myself

When I was in Michigan, there was only one (well U.S) beer = Strohs... BUT, there was also only ONE coffee: A&P 8 O'Clock coffee freshly ground at checkout

I only give my son cash cards from Traders Joe's for grocery.

My kids looked at me like I was deranged when I gave grocery cards as gifts while they were in college

It's nice to have dependents.
