I adjusted my lifestyle to make sure I was out of debt as soon as possible. It has worked well to keep the monkey off my back. I just don’t have all the bells & whistles. Simpler is better.

It’s liberating to be able to say ‘enough’.

Don't need those bells and whistles, debt free for the last 5 yrs

Over 15 for me.

@kreskin1 You know it pal ! When I retired, I had NO credit card debt...NO Car paymnents...NO mortgage...and ALOT of money in my checking account ! 😉 I had a plan, and it worked.

And I was able to get out at 60 !

It allowed me to walk away when I needed to.

My kids on the other hand suck with their choices...I tried but they would not listen

I feel sorry for the young students that are just racking it up for a degree that won’t provide a return on investment.

All my kids (5) graduated from college and military and they still messed it up

My daughter caught on and had debt issues. She learned early and has changed her approach.
