looking back i realy do wonder back in the 80's here on the east coast farmers were suffering big time from a long duration of droughts , my dad almost had a nervous break down
yup had to eat then outside so many seeds....but sweet! forget it now...its hit and miss on a taste melon.
that was no natural drought , and i just bet you it was the entry of climate control
oh the store bought melons are nasty , water melons tastes like cotton candy , its bitter sweet and lacks in the texture, the ones locally grown by my 2nd cousin, his are the kind i remember
I think it had to do with setting up the global supply of food stocks..certain countries will produce these crop during these seasons and provide them to these countries/brokers.
they are selling our epic produce and crops to over seas forcing farmers to sell it all over seas and we get the junk from farmers over seas over priced here
if people knew what locally grown tasted like and how low price it is , they would be enraged
that ground beef and purdue chicken bought at walmart stores is gross , that is not how real beef and chicken tastes like
yup agree, just like cheap consumer products...the phrase "made in america" was systematically dismantled.
people are being forced into buy trash for meats and produce
if they sampled real beef and real chicken they would think it fell from the heavens
wait until they are buying printed foods.
oh and you might know this already but real chicken and beef are super healthy to eat, the reason the commercial beef and commercial chicken they say is not good for you is because of the junk they feed the live stock and conditions they live in and the hormones pumped into them
they pump in antibiotics and dye , it is just absolutely gross
and over half of the meat products were sent over seas, processed and then shipped back over here
then you are getting months of frozen meats that went through hell and back , it will effect the nutrition value and taste
yes I know this. As an example...I was in indonesia, I was in a very nice restaurant and ordered familiar food to me chicken.
i figured you were well informed, you know your stuff
well I get the chicken and it tastes like fish.
omg yes, and the times i ate that kind of commercial chicken , it was sour and the texture was tough , the skin was nasty
I complain and eventually get to the ?manager?. It turns out, they only feed the chicken fish in their diet. That is when I knew I had learned you are what you eat. Yuuuck!
when we raised cattle and live stock, they were open pastures , fed clean grains and fresh hey , fresh water from the streams running through the meadow , never used any artificial stuff in their foods, we had real quality beef
i dont mean tired by that face but expressed like how horrible for them to serve that
we never had a sick cow or calf in our heard
we never had any birth defects or weaklings or ill, all were gorgeous stock strong and lively
they were hilarious to, some of the things they would do when we would round them up
funny , I'm in the habit of asking the kind of beef a eatery is serving. I prefer corn fed and can taste the difference. not that grass feed is not good ...I just prefer out of habit corn feed taste.
oh definately
corn and molasses makes the meat juicy a bit more fatty and tender
grass fed is more lean but not as tastey
bailing hay was some of the hardest work I did in my life.
we found out that really we did not need to round them up, over time we would just call em in when they heard us dumping the feed and hey in to the feeding bins, sometimes they would follow us back to the barn yard when we were out in a truck checking on the heard to make sure none were injured or anything, they all followed us back to the barn and stared at us when we got back to the barn hahahaha it was so funny
i loved bailing hey and straw
stacking them in lofts
now they do not do that much anymore, they just pack it in one huge roll
yeah famillar .....I had 2nd cousins that were dairy farmers....they are the worst...when they need milking they are waiting at the door...
omg @Groot i have something funny to tell you , well it was hilarious to me and my dad lol
if you miss your alarm....which was rare ...the mooing will wake you.

my dad would farm the land around the pasture , he would rotate crops each year and the years he planted field corn, after harvest he would put up an electrical fence and let the cattle out to eat all the fodder and left over cobs the combines missed, it helped fatten them up without costing anything, well ...... lol one day
