That girl has beeeeeeen places. Wonder if she's settled now?
She actually lived here in the bay area too.
The last time I went there I had a hard time remembering my way around.
Spent a lot of time there since the folks grew up there and moms relatives were all there.
Right, I don't travel near as much as I used to..when I go a city I've been in the past it is like visiting a new city. I took my daughter to Chicago last year....the only place I recognized was Wriggly field.👍
Same for me returning to SLO. Still nice, just different. Hated to leave, but couldn’t get the great job. Local employers snagged undergrads at cheap prices.
Gotta go on Thursday night for the street market.
My niece and nephew both graduated SLO I went to there graduation in the last couple of years.
John Madden went to SLO....
Too bad I can’t afford to return. There’s also quite a few libs there as well. When I went, lotsa cowboys & engineers. I suspect plenty of snowflakes now, but I could be wrong. My niece just graduated from there earlier this year.
Hoot Gibson and Ozzie Smith.
Her folks are conservative and she is also I suspect.
Gotta keep your head down in some environments.
I had to look up Hoot...the rodeo star?
Astronaut.
oops
Burt Rutan as well
Do they have and areonutics school?
Yes. Aeronautical and mechanical engineering were sister departments.
My roommate was Aero & I was ME.
I would blow a whistle for them for the wrestling team.....you know of Embry-Riddle in Prescott, AZ ?
I have a couple friend that went there...also blew a whistle on there team.
I’ve heard of ER. They were heavily into aeronautics if I recall.
that is all they are.
An uncle of mine suggested ER as a school I should go to when I was leaving high school. He was a pilot.
Flew for civil air patrol
Rockwell Intl. had a aeronautical school in there L.A. facility , I had friends that went there.
Those sweetheart deals are quite beneficial
back to the PD. Are you aware of the cell tower tracking software they use?
I’ve not been exposed to that type of surveillance.
They’ve got plenty of cameras everywhere though.
Just like everywhere else, I guess
I think there are 2 companies today they can use....one of them was started by a couple of tea party founders in this area that I was involved with. One was a s/w dude the other disabled PD.
I thought it was a cool product when they were developing it and I always wanted to see where they were as it develeoped. Now its expanded to private companies and tracking employees that they give phones to...no privacy issues there😲
We’re pretty respectful of the 4th amendment from my experience. Also not being a sanctuary city was a prerequisite for my being there. The city is quite different from the stereotypical California city.
We tend to go with federal standards
And we’re not in debt!
Oh, that's new!
City PD not county right?
Certainly uncommon.
Yes city.
