NOAA'S EXPLANATION OF WHY THEY ARE NOT CALLING A CAT 5 There have been some higher surface
wind estimates from the SFMR, but these data are questionable based
on our experience of very high SFMR-measured wind speeds in recent
strong hurricanes that didn't match standard flight-level wind
reductions.
ONE RECON PLANE DATA POINT 155 KNOTS = 178MPH
THIS IS STUPID -- THESE LIBERALS PUSH HOW WE HAVE TO ACCEPT EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE AND THEN SAY STUFF LIKE THIS https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2019/08/31/debra-messing-calls-for-doxxing-trump-hollywood-fundraiser-attendees/
Jaffe memo from 1969 sound familiar?
@Real Truth News On National Hurricane Center/NOAA, it shows the wind speed at 150 moh. Where did you find your hurricane wind speed stats? RECON DATA? Never heard of that one before. 11:00 PM EDT Sat Aug 31
Location: 26.3°N 75.1°W
Moving: W at 8 mph
Min pressure: 940 mb
Max sustained: 150 mph https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
recon plane data --- recon planes fly into the center of the hurricane and report data back that specific data point came from noaa2 plane
you have never heard of a hurricane hunter recon plane?
@Real Truth News Okay! Where can I find those readings. Have a link?
I can find the data this was being discussed on a livestream with noaa forecasters who were shocked the official statement did not reflect their own data
I have heard of the plane but thought that is where NOAA gets their information. Are you saying hurricane Center/NOAA is not reporting true readings?
if you can navigate this page hit the dropdown box for noaa2 and they make passes one pass 153 knots and another 148 knots that is almost 180 mph http://tropicalatlantic.com/recon/recon.cgi?basin=al&year=2019&storm=Dorian&mission=26&agency=NOAA&product=hdob&latest=1
no they are not lying I posted their explanation for reporting the data the way they did
Wow! They are lying about the speed of the hurricane! http://tropicalatlantic.com/recon/recon.cgi?basin=al&year=2019&storm=Dorian&product=hdob
kinda but they do a discussion at 11:30 and sometimes change the official readings but I am not following that now
hey you can navigate it better than me cool
It is surely a cat 5 at this point and watching live data it is still strengthening
I am in shock! Look at those wind speeds!
People in Florida need to get out!
It's a Cat 5+
they discussed that this north turn although predicted is not set in stone so I would be cautious
I don't see this hurricane going north. It's been moving west for the past 12 hours.
Well I am watching the upper level winds and they will have to change for that to happen but that is the prediction
Look at the vapor map. There's a high pressure that's keeping it from going north.
in any case freeport is in trouble showing 40 ft seas around the eye the island is only 5 or 6 miles wide there and pretty flat
Here's water vapor map. https://cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov//GOES16/ABI/SECTOR/TAW/08/GOES16-TAW-08-900x540.gif
thanks
Yeah they probably want to downplay it so they get a mass casuality event and blame it on climate change
@Real Truth News You are welcome!
