on the very bottom of screen where

where it shows your browsers or mail,

way over to the right of your screen is your clock and a picture of what looks like a mic

volume button

right click on the little mic/volume button

it will open a little window for your headphone and mic setting for your computer

check to see if it is detecting your head phones

yeah and I cant change that

it says speakers realtek

are you using a head set, with both mic and headphones

yes

that is what I am using , sometimes when I plug them in, my computer doesn't detect them

so I have to unplug them and plug them back in a couple times before they are detected by my computer

are you watching you tube right now

I have you tube open before I plug my headphones in that way I know my speakers are working

ok

then once I know the speakers are working, I plug my head set in, with them on so I can hear the sound adjust to the headset, from the speakers

also check to see if you can change your headset setting in discord to see if it is set to the same as your mic

they light up when there noise in the back ground or I am talking
