how do i download discord

if you have not already, then please download the discord program so you are not using it in your web browser. because the 'in browser' form of discord is known to cause issues.

if your having account duplication issues then make sure to watch closely when logging in that you are on the login page and not the account creation page. (they look alot alike)

I've tried 3 times to install desktop and attached is what I get each time. Browser version keeps saying that discord don't have access to my mic. Ive run diagnostics and all is right. im listening to patriots soapbox from another pc now and my laptop is picking up every they are saying; so mic is working fine. Did research it seems theres something in discord causing issues in desktop version. I don't know about the browser issues.

@SkyWatcher77 if I'm not mistaken, if you are installing onto your laptop it may be that your mic is defaulted to another program. You may have to reset what the mic is set to. For example, you may have your mic set with Skype. The mic can't be set for both applications at the same time. Give that a try.

@Jayde Seems to me that Discord has a lot of simple fixes instead of just repairing the problem and making this app work properly. Everything they claim is a simple fix but in reality can be not so simple to fix. Strange sense of humor?

Kind of like encouraging a friend to try and trip that mouse trap without getting his fingers slapped. Great fun for the person encouraging but not so much for the kid with his fingers in the trap
