i was chatting on psb earlier with @LAura gold and she asked if i was on discord as she wanted to chat but i've now decided to join but am noy a techy man

Use her name plus the id # as follows also be sure to use the "@" symbol in front of the username lg#3763

do i need to ask for her hashtag number?

A new menu will open and at the top is "message"

Just click message and begin typing

@Pilgrim Father When sending messages in the "direct message" area you do not need to use the "@" symbol once you have begun a back and forth message session. Only use the "@" in the regular text areas when you wish to address a ccertain person

In other words catch their attention in the text stream
