need help. it shouldnt be this challenging. Need to determine if I need new equipmnt

What type of device are you using?
Windows or Mac?

Desktop/laptop or mobile?

FYI Im on Samsung note 8 with built in mic, but using the earbuds and mic (new). This is a mobile phablet I guess. My computer will NOT allow discord install.

Okay I understand that but wonder why your computer won't allow the app to install. Do you recall what the message from discord said?

It was from the HP computer Windows 10. " There is a problem with discord....then a bunch of code, after my overriding several "Are you sure you really want to force this" type warnings.

Here is my suggestion or an idea of what you can try if you want to do so

Send a support ticket to discord and ask them to help youwith the app

I have sent 4 tickets for myself and they have been quite prompt with their replies

Very easy to send a ticket and it takes about 2 minutes for the fiil in the blank form

That is very kind. Seems the HP got mad and shut down. I will get be husband, IT pro to do as you have suggested. Meantime, I was hoping to test audio in casual, not on deck chat room with WTFremp, etc.
The push to talk button seemed to kill all audio unless new gent Carlis(?) just did not reply to "sound check"

Pop into the help desk voice and we can test your mic if you want to do that

Corlis is new so maybe he doesn't know the ropes yet about mic check

Ok. Hubby going to get other devices, but for now, will do. 5:5 re Carlis

Or as an alternate solution you might have to go to Apple support and ask the about the Discord issue
