Fo you have a headset or ear buds?

2019-07-01 12:24:47 UTC

I started moderating in 2008.

2019-07-01 12:25:30 UTC

I am getting set up with mic and headphones, I have three laptops, and handle calls and audio well, we can run a test in advance.

2019-07-01 12:26:07 UTC

Cheap is fine for just talking in the voice rooms no need to speand a ton of money ona a pair

2019-07-01 12:26:50 UTC

Once you are ready please set up your push to talk function or use just the headset in order to keep the noise from feeding back into the voice rooms

2019-07-01 12:26:53 UTC

Optimally, I'll have the earbuds with built-in mic and will move up to studio quality, but I already have 200W speakers, it sounds like people are in the room when they speak. My audio experience goes back about 25 years.

2019-07-01 12:27:22 UTC

You are an old Pro then and I bow to your experience

2019-07-01 12:28:18 UTC

I know. Mute other channels and tabs, and speak clearly and well paced. I've worked soundboards, set up audio cables and run tests, I've worked with musicians, I've acted on stage for up to four or five hundred people at once.

2019-07-01 12:28:46 UTC

That sounds like fun and interesting too

2019-07-01 12:29:05 UTC

I've operated soundboards and video equipment, so it is just a matter of minor adjustments getting started at a new platform.

2019-07-01 12:30:17 UTC

Then you are good to go. I have helped people with zero experience using a computer. Their fingers had never touched a keyboard before . Not bragging just saying that I never assume anyone has a certain skill level with computers

2019-07-01 12:30:37 UTC

I enjoy this work, as well as moderating live chat, I can scan multiple languages at once, on multiple tabs or chats.

2019-07-01 12:30:45 UTC

I begin with the basics and let their story unfold

2019-07-01 12:31:22 UTC

You are polar opposite of 99% of the people coming into Discord

2019-07-01 12:31:39 UTC

We are solid, I'll have questions along the way, however over the past year I've been impressed with our Patriot Soapbox stream, you are all really growing and improving.

2019-07-01 12:32:05 UTC

Most are recycled teenagers with a lot of free time and little computer experience

2019-07-01 12:32:52 UTC

I've edited a 400 plus page book in the past couple of years, I've worked multiple chats online, I can list a few ..

2019-07-01 12:33:02 UTC

Yes it is slowly maturing into something to be very proud of and the quality of the overall work is improving daily

2019-07-01 12:33:15 UTC

I'm good at my work, and a writer and producer as well as a moderator and researcher.

2019-07-01 12:33:26 UTC

Wizard level

2019-07-01 12:33:27 UTC

We need to grow our numbes.

2019-07-01 12:33:36 UTC

numbers*

2019-07-01 12:33:46 UTC

Yes that is why I sit in the live chat pushing Discord the way that I do

2019-07-01 12:34:38 UTC

It will take me time to settle into the platform, I can join you in a live video or voice call, or set up a training session

2019-07-01 12:35:00 UTC

Sad to say but it seems the majority if the people watching can't even be bothered to click the thumbs up/like button under the live stream

2019-07-01 12:35:39 UTC

There are other servers for writers/ researchers and people with graphics experience

2019-07-01 12:35:40 UTC

I try not to spam it, but it is just habit for me to post it about once every fifteen minutes.

2019-07-01 12:36:07 UTC

Have you read the rules yet?

2019-07-01 12:36:39 UTC

I'll need that link, please send to my email:
