We can go over that when the time comes
What is push to talk?
@Nely not sure if you got an answer. If you have mic on your device, you might want to set up push to talk.. meaning push a key when you talk (so your mic is not just picking up everything and blasting)
@Nely you can on a pc go into settings - the gear and set up in your voice/video settings.. push to talk
you will assign a key to push when you talk in a voice room

I have more than ten years at a dozen channels, including the world's largest chess site with more than 15 million members at that one site alone, both with Help as a volunteer, and as a full time moderator, this is how I earned a living for years.
I work Staff level, for all departments assigned.
I have been here for about 1.5 years that's all
Well, this is a new platform, so help is always welcome, I'll have questions along the way.
Fo you have a headset or ear buds?
I started moderating in 2008.
I am getting set up with mic and headphones, I have three laptops, and handle calls and audio well, we can run a test in advance.
Cheap is fine for just talking in the voice rooms no need to speand a ton of money ona a pair
Once you are ready please set up your push to talk function or use just the headset in order to keep the noise from feeding back into the voice rooms
Optimally, I'll have the earbuds with built-in mic and will move up to studio quality, but I already have 200W speakers, it sounds like people are in the room when they speak. My audio experience goes back about 25 years.
You are an old Pro then and I bow to your experience
I know. Mute other channels and tabs, and speak clearly and well paced. I've worked soundboards, set up audio cables and run tests, I've worked with musicians, I've acted on stage for up to four or five hundred people at once.
That sounds like fun and interesting too
I've operated soundboards and video equipment, so it is just a matter of minor adjustments getting started at a new platform.
Then you are good to go. I have helped people with zero experience using a computer. Their fingers had never touched a keyboard before . Not bragging just saying that I never assume anyone has a certain skill level with computers
I enjoy this work, as well as moderating live chat, I can scan multiple languages at once, on multiple tabs or chats.
I begin with the basics and let their story unfold
You are polar opposite of 99% of the people coming into Discord
We are solid, I'll have questions along the way, however over the past year I've been impressed with our Patriot Soapbox stream, you are all really growing and improving.
Most are recycled teenagers with a lot of free time and little computer experience
I've edited a 400 plus page book in the past couple of years, I've worked multiple chats online, I can list a few ..
Yes it is slowly maturing into something to be very proud of and the quality of the overall work is improving daily
