dey sailed boatz n shit
They developed a way to build ships that allowed them to ride high and have flexibility. This allowed them to sail up rivers and across oceans - that's how they got to the Canadian Islands, part of Modern Northern America.
But the spanish actually were able to make something of the new world?
The vikings got to Greenland and died
Their weaponry was extremely advanced, for their day.
Then they got to canada
and failed
but what did it do for them?
their little time in the spotlight didn't do much
They raided some people for a short period and then did nothing much
NOBODY could settle a colony there.
Did they establish ha global empire? no?
Except for the English and French of course
They still conquered Normandy.
And Paris.
But they lost it
The British Empire also lost its colonies, so what?
And the French established a society greater than nay Nordic country
The Vikings were older than the Frenchies.
they took a small amount of Europe after it was in shambles and then claimed to be "great"
They never did anything that impressive
They conquered all of England, they got Normandy, parts of Russia and Germany, and even got to border Byzantium.
I just had smoked salmon
is that trad?
no
Nah.
it's trad for me
sad
But they did not take over England
They did.
They lost it
clearly never had smoked salmon ^
They conquered, and then lost it, yes.
Stop being an idiot.
They obviously lost it.
They lost it to Anglo-Saxons who were hesitant to kill them
Nothing they did ever lasted
They couldn't control such big amounts of land.
But other empires could
so they were inferior in comparison
