Uh yeah

2018-06-17 15:03:13 UTC

You’re jumping to conclusions that I never said

2018-06-17 15:03:35 UTC

You literally just said children need a father figure, therefore children should not be raised by a single mother

2018-06-17 15:03:39 UTC

Uh no

2018-06-17 15:04:07 UTC

So do children need a father figure or not?

2018-06-17 15:04:07 UTC

Go back and read what he wrote

2018-06-17 15:04:13 UTC

It’s better for them to be raised in a traditional nuclear family with a father figure, I never proposed removing children from single mother homes

2018-06-17 15:04:32 UTC

You can’t just attack claims that I’ve never made

2018-06-17 15:05:02 UTC

I know you didn't, but if you're against me adopting because of children's "need" for a father figure, it's hypocrisy to be against lesbians adopting for lack of a man

2018-06-17 15:05:12 UTC

while not for a single mother

2018-06-17 15:05:43 UTC

If I were to say, “children should eat meat”, that doesn’t mean I want to remove children from all vegetarian homes

2018-06-17 15:05:51 UTC

But I am against single mothers adopting

2018-06-17 15:06:01 UTC

That doesn’t mean I’m proposing confiscating kids though

2018-06-17 15:06:08 UTC

You can’t just assume that

2018-06-17 15:06:44 UTC

But the fact of the matter is, a father and mother figure are essential to a child’s development

2018-06-17 15:07:04 UTC

And the idea that you would want to deny your future children of that, is selfish and negligent

2018-06-17 15:07:24 UTC

Studies find no differences in the mental health of children raised by gay parents vs straight, while children in foster care suffer from pstd more than our soldiers

2018-06-17 15:07:33 UTC

Reallly

2018-06-17 15:07:39 UTC

I’d like to see these supposed studies

2018-06-17 15:11:12 UTC

Just in case you needed a few different sources ^

2018-06-17 15:13:46 UTC

So how can you sit there and call me selfish for not wanting to bring more children into this world and instead help some children that would otherwise be miserable, when there is proof that my adopted children won't turn out any worse than if I were to marry a man?

2018-06-17 15:17:40 UTC

Don't get me wrong, I am well aware that there are shocking statistics to show that children from fatherless homes are more likely to have issues, however, these types of fatherless homes aren't gay homes, but rather they tend to be situations where the father just left and the family is struggling to get by and dealing with more problems than just the absence of a man

2018-06-17 15:17:57 UTC

Look at all the links wendie

2018-06-17 15:18:00 UTC

That first link has "opinion" right in the name

2018-06-17 15:18:04 UTC

But I'll still read

2018-06-17 15:18:09 UTC

I’ve got stats regarding same sex couples too

2018-06-17 15:19:26 UTC

Again, Adoption is noble but not a replacement for reproduction. If you want to adopt, go ahead, but you should also have children of your own in order to secure the existence of our people and to not destroy your bloodline.

2018-06-17 15:20:25 UTC

Otherwise, after your death, you won’t live on through your children. Your genes will be destroyed forever. Thousands of years of lives and reproduction and history that lives inside you will be dead forever due to your personal choices.

2018-06-17 15:21:27 UTC

I have a brother, my bloodline will be fine. I have cousins and they have kids, my decision to not have children won't hurt my bloodline

2018-06-17 15:21:45 UTC

Besides, I have a few genetic problems such as being prone to cancer that I wouldn't want to put onto a child

2018-06-17 15:21:58 UTC

But your genes specifically will be dead. You will have no legacy, you won’t live in through your children.

2018-06-17 15:22:02 UTC

Hmmm

2018-06-17 15:22:14 UTC

How severe are these genetic problems?

2018-06-17 15:22:49 UTC

I read the first link, it brings up again that children not being adopted are worse off than children being adopted by a gay couple
