maybe I'm remembering wrong and it was military but even then the point is the exact some
*same
you're picking apart the wrong detail
The Air Force was not its own branch until we needed the Air Force to become its own branch.
Before it was its own branch responsibilities were handled between land and sea operations.
Which is not functionally different from the Navy having its own planes and the Air Force handling land operations.
um... yes?
you're right
So as it stands it is bureaucratically redundant to have a dedicated space branch.
is it redundant to have a dedicated air force then
Not saying it couldn't happen sooner, just that saying that's the best thing Trump has done is extremely inaccurate.
sorry
what I meant
was it was my favourite thing
I should have clarified
It isn't redundant though. Planes had a vastly expanded responsibility during WWII.
during, but we didn't make the airforce the day we deployed them, we did it in advance to prepare
I'm just saying that I personally think space conflict could be sooner then we expect
especially if we aren't prepared
and are sitting ducks
There was a separate bureaucratic function for planes as a subset of the army but functionally there was not a huge difference before and after it became its own branch.
Just like there won't be if we suddenly become embroiled in a war where space is a theater of warfare.
dude stfu and get out of here
splitting branches not only helps with organization of resources and specification, but it also helps for advertising to potential troops. advertising is important. more people will want to join Space Force then " Oh I can work my way to a space division of the airforce"
so it will help with recruitment numbers
is that a question?
That didn't seem to be a problem during WWII though.
because they made the airforce right before world war 2
No they didn't.
oh yeah you're right
Planes were the responsibility primarily of the Army.
I stand corrected
1947
And functionally it was basically independent.
Then yeah I'm going to have to rethink my position, I thought advertising played a bigger role with recruitment numbers
thanks
Because administrators know better than to impede on those operations, just like the Air Force would likely give significant independence to space operations in the event of space being an important theater of warfare.
The establishment of the Air Force as a separate branch was basically a formality.
You're painfully unfunny.
You bear criminal responsibility if someone here cringes to death.
Oscar may be a retarded NEET beta MGTOW fag but at least he makes an attempt to create an argument.
