Hm...
You sometimes have to question if democracy is a good thing or a bad thing.
When you look at it, democracy is easily corrupted.
:/
In the UK, we have regions which are not even represented by the government.
We also have a lot of fucking corruption.
As well as our constituent local councils raising their wages instead of spending money on infrastructure.
We have it here in the Merseyside county, many of our public funded clubs and facilities got shut down, because our council decided to raise their wages, spending all the government funding, which meant that more funding had to be put in, as well as restrictions.
We have a similar thing in the government when it comes down to departments. There are cases in which people are hired by the government for a specific job, because they said that they can do it, and then, 3 years later, when it turns out that the fuckers can't do what they said they could, the government keeps them on, because the people in charge do not like to admit that they were wrong.
And these are people whom we elected into power.
:/
The councils, are elected in the local elections.
And then we have the government itself.
Our government is literally pathetic. They spend more time insulting one another than actually trying to fix issues in the country.
And that's when there is a majority party.
Coalitions are even fucking worse.
Because in Coalitions, the parties aren't just attempting to win a petty, little word battle; they also vote against/stop one another from enacting their policies at all costs.
Even when the policies are agreed upon, one of the parties will attempt to stop it because they don't like the idea of their opponents putting it in, instead of them.
Theresa May is a liar, she voted to remain and was one of the key remain campaigners, and now she's had a change of heart? It's a fucking lie, she is agreeing with a lot of which the EU wants. She wants to remove us by name, not by law. We will still be accountable by Brussels, just not an actual member of the EU.
And then we have Corbyn, the man is an economic failure, he has no idea how economics work and his party are a bunch of emotional little twats who constantly cry about how the other party is being unfair. Corbyn voted to leave the EU, which is what makes me laugh, because many Labour supporters voted for Corbyn on the grounds that he would "keep Britain in the EU" because he never actually shared his opinion on BREXIT, he voted to leave. Though his reasoning is because he wants to nationalise specific industries and he can only do that if Britain is out of the EU because the EU does not allow nationalisation.
