and the suburbs are in a weird flux

2018-07-10 16:50:17 UTC

it pains me to say it, but it all boils down to trade unions

2018-07-10 16:52:02 UTC

the suburbs were kept red by trade union membership who would vote red, it wasnt until politicians getting backed by the koch's and mercers started pushing right to work that those suburbs flipped to become blue dog subburbs

2018-07-10 16:52:54 UTC

now the PAGOP is dead broke, no new donors, bad registration and turnout numbers, horrid leadership and fracturing, and moving into this year they only had 6 employees compared to last election they had hundreds

2018-07-10 16:53:05 UTC

those 6 employees were all new hires

2018-07-10 16:53:20 UTC

the burden is entirely on the candidates and the county gop

2018-07-10 16:53:26 UTC

and they lack the resouces to win

2018-07-10 16:53:53 UTC

weve been crushed in the special election, the judicial elections, and turnout for the primaries

2018-07-10 16:54:05 UTC

the numbers are worse than when trump won across the board

2018-07-10 16:54:25 UTC

the party disaffected all of the blue dog moderates who voted for trump based on the right to work line of reasoning

2018-07-10 16:55:39 UTC

dually the party has dissaffected the hard right and the "santorum" pro life base as well

2018-07-10 16:55:56 UTC

wagner propped uyp the whole gop for the last few year with his money

2018-07-10 16:56:03 UTC

he did so with an iron fist

2018-07-10 16:56:17 UTC

and now there is more hatred for him from the right than there is from the left

2018-07-10 16:56:28 UTC

this hatred is spreading to the rest of the party

2018-07-10 16:56:42 UTC

we lost the moderates and the far right/religous right

2018-07-10 16:57:05 UTC

even if the pagop was intact wed still be out registered by 10%

2018-07-10 16:57:37 UTC

we needed a coalition of the moderate ight, center right, and far right to win, in order to do that we needed the union membership

2018-07-10 16:58:00 UTC

and the santorum voters

2018-07-10 16:58:06 UTC

now we have neither

2018-07-10 16:58:16 UTC

thisis why the statewide races will likely be lost

2018-07-10 16:58:36 UTC

BUT
we can still win the congressional and state level representative and senate races

2018-07-10 16:58:49 UTC

as their districts are much more maliable than the state as a whole

2018-07-10 17:00:37 UTC

Sounds like we have opportunities, then. Who's left supporting the PAGOP, ultimately?

2018-07-10 17:00:53 UTC

just wagner and he is out of money

2018-07-10 17:01:12 UTC

he said himself 2 weeks ago he needed 50 million to beat wolf

2018-07-10 17:01:19 UTC

that means he needs to raise 300k/day

2018-07-10 17:01:33 UTC

he cant even raise more than 10k at his best fundraisers

2018-07-10 17:01:39 UTC

his top fundraisers have left

2018-07-10 17:01:43 UTC

he is out of money

2018-07-10 17:01:55 UTC

And Wolf has $50M himself

2018-07-10 17:02:12 UTC

yes

2018-07-10 17:02:32 UTC

the guy running the pagop did this with the help of wagz

2018-07-10 17:02:46 UTC

they ran out the gop money when the current gop head won his election

2018-07-10 17:03:26 UTC

our oppourtuity lies in supporting congressional races like rothfus v lamb, marty nothstein, etc

2018-07-10 17:03:37 UTC

then state level races

2018-07-10 17:04:00 UTC

once wolf is done in 4 years they will run the most liberal gov. candidate in american history

2018-07-10 17:04:08 UTC

he will run against mango

2018-07-10 17:04:19 UTC

mango will crush him, especially with trump support

2018-07-10 17:04:39 UTC

mango's grassroots is still bigger and more active than wagners

2018-07-10 17:05:24 UTC

its a shit situation, but 4 more years of wolf might actually help the PAGOP re energizer
