It is sorta like comparing death penalty to murder, one is institutional, based on a system with an actor after an objective trial, while another is an action done with an intent on one's whim

You can choose to answer Eva's question, or project your opinion based on my answer to her.

2019-04-21 17:55:34 UTC

You always poke at my chat to people

2019-04-21 17:55:40 UTC

yet you never offer true input yourself

2019-04-21 17:55:55 UTC

That's honestly not a nice thing to do.

2019-04-21 17:57:06 UTC

No? I hardly know you, we maybe corresponded only one other time

2019-04-21 17:57:18 UTC

Exactly my point

2019-04-21 17:57:33 UTC

So why poke at my answers when I don't even know you, rather than answer what was originally presented?

2019-04-21 17:57:48 UTC

This is a pattern i've noticed

2019-04-21 17:57:53 UTC

and not a friendly one.

2019-04-21 17:59:40 UTC

Would you like to be friend or foe? This is your time to choose.

2019-04-21 18:00:05 UTC

We can start anew if you'd like.

2019-04-21 18:07:31 UTC

what r u g uys debating

2019-04-21 18:07:44 UTC

why people seek the death penalty ?

2019-04-21 18:07:49 UTC

Just his annoyance with my existence apparently?

2019-04-21 18:08:03 UTC

Yeah

2019-04-21 18:08:07 UTC

That was the original question

2019-04-21 18:08:14 UTC

prolly cause they want to die

2019-04-21 18:08:26 UTC

thats teh first thing that comes to mind

2019-04-21 18:08:46 UTC

why do u think it is they ask for the death penalty

2019-04-21 18:09:09 UTC

no i meant why do people want the death penalty to be legal

2019-04-21 18:09:22 UTC

oh

2019-04-21 18:09:47 UTC

yeah seems crazy we should be studying these people to find out what brought them to murder in the first place

2019-04-21 18:10:21 UTC

the more people in prison the better the economy is

2019-04-21 18:10:39 UTC

so u could study them and help the economy by not killing them

2019-04-21 18:14:01 UTC

so the debate is whether the death p enalty should be legal or not

2019-04-21 18:15:26 UTC

?

2019-04-21 18:15:50 UTC

I believe much of it boils down to whether executions reduce murder rates, if so, a cost-benefit analysis could render the death penalty "worth it"

2019-04-21 18:16:34 UTC

If not, then the costs would make not really an efficient use of our justice system

2019-04-21 18:16:36 UTC

in places where the death penalty is legal are they still murdering people ?

2019-04-21 18:16:45 UTC

nothing about our society is effecient

2019-04-21 18:17:13 UTC

i have a friend that works for the justice system he made a program that would automate 3 things his b oss told him why would u ever automate something a human can do

2019-04-21 18:17:15 UTC

so

2019-04-21 18:17:29 UTC

It isn't about whether murder still occurs, of course it does. The issue is with the correlation between executions and murders

2019-04-21 18:17:34 UTC

our justice system is not worried about effeciency

2019-04-21 18:18:09 UTC

Well, i would believe it is something we should strive for

2019-04-21 18:18:47 UTC

noone is worried about efficiency our economy is based on the more waste the better the more sick people the better the more people in jail and prisons the better economy we have

2019-04-21 18:18:51 UTC

So you value utilitarian moral theory?

2019-04-21 18:18:54 UTC

we should strive for it but we dont

2019-04-21 18:19:11 UTC

If it protects the bottom like it's ok?
