Are we counting different forms, shinies, hybrids, and all the other variations as separate pokemon, or just each species? If it's just species, then there are only 802. If we includes shinies on their own that number doubles to 1604. If we consider gender differences as their own pokemon, it goes up again to 3010 (There are 99 genderless pokemon, or 198 if we count shinies vs regular). If we do the same with Mega evolutions (182 due to shinies and gender differences) we come to 3192. Then we come to form changes which adds another 435 pokemon to the list, bringing it up to 3627 different pokemon…
