Welfare in Australia isn't only for people who are unemployed
It also funds education for those who can't afford it

No system is ideal, the best we can hope is it's implemented in a way to reduce abuse as much as possible

I'm on welfare myself, currently. Since I'm going to be starting university, which will hopefully land me a good start into a career I want to be in.
