I think it is just from the name

We say fruit loops when the cereal lie named froot loops so people can easily mistake it

Mandela effect is literally just remembering things wrong

And remembering things wrong clearly exists

What are your thoughts on the Mandela effect

I've never experienced anything that I'd consider a part of the Mandela effect. The Berenstain Bears is the closest, because I had so many of those books. Was a very avid reader. And you'd think I'd notice the unusual spelling.

But I'm willing to consider that I'm misremembering things, and also that others are, too.
