I mean, if we went to the moon in the 20th century with crappy technology, why can’t we “pull it off” lol

2019-02-24 05:56:27 UTC

Those space videos are hard to convince someone

2019-02-24 05:56:43 UTC

For example, why do these dudes get angry if it’s true. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jc7gsdonMHw

2019-02-24 05:57:51 UTC

If someone accuses you of faking your greatest, and perhaps only noteworthy accomplishment, many would probably be frustrated.

2019-02-24 05:58:44 UTC

Imagine breaking a world record and someone simply says you didn’t. Or paying for your car only to have the dealership claim they received no money.

2019-02-24 05:59:36 UTC

Now, of course, that doesn’t mean they’re telling the truth, it just means that if they’re telling the truth, their anger is at least somewhat reasonably justified.

2019-02-24 06:00:47 UTC

What throws me off is that, in the complete video, there are some who agree to do it while being calmed, then all of a sudden throw fits. But it would be understandable. I have yet to see a space video that cannot be titled as fake.

2019-02-24 06:01:08 UTC

Also, would you *really* trust them if they swore it on the Bible?

2019-02-24 06:01:24 UTC

Those are both fair opinions

2019-02-24 06:03:33 UTC

YouTube seem to have changed the search algorithms very strongly. There’s a video I was trying to find of an astronaut film closing the shuttle door supposedly in space and you see the door closing like it is made out of paper

2019-02-24 06:03:47 UTC

And I can’t find it

2019-02-24 06:04:30 UTC

Interesting

2019-02-24 06:05:42 UTC

This one lol

That's a thermal cover, it helps maintain thermal equilibrium. The actual hatch opens inwards.

2019-02-24 06:10:24 UTC

Yeah, YT has been intentionally trying to lead people away from conspiracy videos.

2019-02-24 06:10:38 UTC

Yeah

2019-02-24 06:10:46 UTC

What’s your explanation here? https://youtu.be/xdBR3tDXyVw

2019-02-24 06:11:12 UTC

I kind of get why, since it lands YT in a lot of legal issues, but it’s still kind of messed up.

2019-02-24 06:12:58 UTC

That’s the Arctic circle, hence why he can see both day and night.

2019-02-24 06:13:11 UTC

How does that fit on the ball model?

2019-02-24 06:13:36 UTC

It’s a bit difficult to explain, but I’ll do my best.

2019-02-24 06:13:56 UTC

Keep in mind this too https://youtu.be/29mh3flRqUU

*Yes, this image is terrible, I literally drew it myself just now.*

2019-02-24 06:16:01 UTC

LOL

2019-02-24 06:16:13 UTC

Basically the light of the sun can still touch the moon

2019-02-24 06:16:43 UTC

At the *very top* of the Globe model, the light from both the sun and the moon are hitting the same spot.

2019-02-24 06:16:46 UTC

What’s on the other side?

2019-02-24 06:17:23 UTC

So at that top point, someone can technically see both at the same time,

2019-02-24 06:17:30 UTC

Wdym on the other side?

2019-02-24 06:17:51 UTC

From your drawing as in the other “face”

2019-02-24 06:18:30 UTC

If you check the reflection of light of the moon, you see it focalized, like a lamp

2019-02-24 06:18:38 UTC

So I assume it can’t be that far

2019-02-24 06:19:24 UTC

The drawing kind of sucks, as the lines overlap the edge of the earth, but basically one side has sunlight and the other has moonlight (except during full moon).

2019-02-24 06:19:44 UTC

At the very top, both the sunlight and moonlight can narrowly touch the same spots

2019-02-24 06:19:59 UTC

Look at this sun, is a very interesting one. https://youtu.be/GJ8_u6Sf1t8

2019-02-24 06:20:10 UTC

Provided you’re in the right location, you can see both at once with such a sharp divide.

2019-02-24 06:20:13 UTC

Hard to believe the sun not move

2019-02-24 06:20:34 UTC

I can’t really attest to *how* sharp the divide is, so that part has me, but I can see how it would work.
