Although, I will say this. Since viruses and bacteria are becoming more and more resistant to mediciation, vaccination is becoming more important. While earlier, certain diseases could be treated with antibiotics, those diseases may now be immune to said antibiotics, making vaccines essential to the prevention of those diseases.

@gohan Antibiotics are only useful in killing bacteria...not viruses. So that statement is not of rational thinking. Vaccines are mostly to create immunity to viruses.

However there is the tetanus vaccine. Tetanus is a bacteria, but the vaccine is to stave off the toxins it produces, not the bacteria itself. At least, that’s my understanding.

I believe there are a few more bacterial vaccines as well.
