but I do my best ecommerce work at like 10pm-2 am

2017-07-27 18:59:48 UTC

because that's closer to what my heart desires

2017-07-27 19:00:05 UTC

Brain fatigue or whatever you call it is real

2017-07-27 19:00:18 UTC

of course, but it's amazing

2017-07-27 19:00:47 UTC

I like producing/composing, hate mixing and mastering. Thus I end up with a huge backlog of unreleased music

2017-07-27 19:01:02 UTC

I enjoy ecommerce because I feel so tricky doing it

2017-07-27 19:01:23 UTC

like "haha I jewed these dumbasses into buying chinese plastic I made some other dumbasses make for me"

2017-07-27 19:02:03 UTC

So you're the one with the gult of offbrand fidget cubes?

2017-07-27 19:02:26 UTC

if those had a good margin and long term demand I would do them, I don't though

2017-07-27 19:03:01 UTC

you should look into kitchen shit

2017-07-27 19:03:04 UTC

Fondling the real deal vs the fakes is pretty big

2017-07-27 19:03:31 UTC

people buy kitchen shit all the time. I bet you could sell a lot of cookie cutters in novelty shapes

2017-07-27 19:03:39 UTC

yeah

2017-07-27 19:03:48 UTC

you know I am actually looking into a certain sort of cutting boards

2017-07-27 19:04:29 UTC

I see a lot of stuff on amazon where it looks like it all is exactly the same thing from china at wildly different prices

2017-07-27 19:04:59 UTC

one of the reason you see that is they run simultaneous listings at different prices, then take data on which price sells best

2017-07-27 19:05:07 UTC

that's how they determine their prices

2017-07-27 19:05:23 UTC

That makes a lot of sense

2017-07-27 19:05:50 UTC

I have to pay spergs money for software to do that for me

2017-07-27 19:06:01 UTC

and then run chi squared tests to see if the data is real or not

2017-07-27 19:06:05 UTC

Usually at that point I'll just try to track down the name brand whatevers if it is something I really want

2017-07-27 19:06:24 UTC

interestingly that puts you in a small break of consumers

2017-07-27 19:06:28 UTC

an admirable one, but a very small one

2017-07-27 19:06:44 UTC

of people who buy name brand?

2017-07-27 19:07:01 UTC

no, people who do the slightest product research

2017-07-27 19:07:19 UTC

Well it's like I want let's say X pair of sunglasses, and the entire amazon market is just a flood of confusing chinese knockoffs

2017-07-27 19:07:43 UTC

So eventually you just say fuck it and buy the designer pair they're cloning

2017-07-27 19:07:44 UTC

most people are like... price, picture, possibly the right brand, review average, then a coin toss chance of buying

2017-07-27 19:08:12 UTC

my buying patterns are really different from normies because I don't want to be a wage slave for the rest of my life

2017-07-27 19:08:58 UTC

oh? go on

2017-07-27 19:09:47 UTC

well I just avoid buying things that I don't need or won't contribute to my happiness

2017-07-27 19:10:23 UTC

and if I think i need to buy something I'll give it a couple weeks and see if I still need/want it

2017-07-27 19:12:27 UTC

then I think about the value of a dollar being $1 if you spend it but infinite if you keep it which makes it really easy to keep putting disposable cash into my investment/retirement accounts

2017-07-27 19:13:02 UTC

yeah

2017-07-27 19:13:19 UTC

in my view, every dollar invested is 3 cents a year I can spend for life

2017-07-27 19:13:33 UTC

No point in impulse buying expensive shit

2017-07-27 19:13:41 UTC

Or even cheap shit

2017-07-27 19:13:45 UTC

I do not buy anything except food

2017-07-27 19:14:00 UTC

I have no TV, I sleep on the floor, I have a guitar I bought for $200 more than 10 years ago and that's about it

2017-07-27 19:14:03 UTC

also a gym membership

2017-07-27 19:14:13 UTC

Get a bed
