well, I actually wrote a long blog post one time showing that hate does not really exist or define a discrete phenomenon

it's just "extreme dislike" with no clear line drawn to where it becomes "hate"

that's a sufficient description

many things do not have such clear lines

however they can never prove its existence or its correlation with harm

hate is synonymous with emotion

"extreme dislike plus intent to oppose" seems accurate enough
