but even that, its fleeting annoyance
so the question is, "why do I hate dark, stupid, violent people living far away from me?"
i.e. they are outside my experience, I cannot even empirically be sure they exist, so why feel anything?
hmm, not quite but
okay
go with that
yeah sure
that makes the point adequately
the answer is simple, because I think about the big picture and the long term, I always have
if all I cared about was me, I'd be another idiot boomer
but the big picture is much bigger than you
i on the other hand, have dark, stupid, violent people living quite near me
you will die very soon
in comparison to its breadth
but the thought that my 4x great grandchildren might have to deal with Jafar or Julio or Nbekemwe infuriates me
I understand wanting to understand it
but why get worked up about it?
you can only do things
because my descendants will have to deal with it and I care about them
make the difference
you can't account for the future
the fact that people in my family tend to feel like I do IS why we will have a good outcome
and aren't you a believer?
this isn't fear for my future generations, it's an expression of the very trait that will keep them well and safe
I guess I'm just content that things will go a certain way
radical outgroup mistrust and malice
so I can't get worried about anything
that may be it
or that may be a rationalization
what you look at when you see me is something akin to what you see happen in Jews when they consider goyim
I'll figure it out later
that is unhealthy
what happens in them
cannibal, so does that mean you are jewish ?
they don't have to expend energy to think about where historically someone wronged them or who said something about them etc., it just happens
they do expend energy about it though
it doesn't just happen
they are indoctrinated into it
from childhood
what does it matter if you are insanely energetic and have it to spare?
