there's an earnings gap, because men work more overtime and frequently go after higher paying jobs and to ask for raises/promotions. female-dominated fields don't usually pay that well, like teachers

it's not a sexist or anti-woman sentiment by any means.

And considering that 4/5 of the most paid jobs are mainly men and 4/5 of the least paid jobs are mainly women, it makes sense how the average salary is less for women.

The gap doesn't take in work hours, occupation, etc., when they calculate it
