Ukraine was in no position to bargain that at the time. Crimea made a choice and our government mucked around that region too much. Russia violated zero rules. Not to mention the UN charter itself says all people have a right to self determination

sashka, technically Russia has reason to legally void the agreement that have Ukraine Crimea... Yanukovych was ousted 'illegally' as well, so Russia could just say "We gave it to the LEGITIMATE Ukraine, you are not legitimate, we take back now".
