so your use is the only use then
we're talking about this girl who's in college or whatever
and im a retard for not having ***your*** use in mind
THIS WHOLE DISCUSSION SPROUTED FROM A GIRL WHO'S GOING TO COLLEGE
it's not my use case I'm worried about
look
just admit you were wrong
in the average college workload, 90% of students don't need their laptop to do complex computational work on the go
this is what we are talking about
you're playing stupid
i wouldnt even call adobe complex computational work
it's processor intensive
i used to bring my laptop to class because i preferred using windows to the shitty macs in class
okay?
what is her study tho?
no idea
i mean she could be taking design classes like i was and would benefit from having a windows laptop
either way you can find a refurb surface for only a few hudred more than a chromebook
around 500~
something fucky is going on with my GPU
whenever it's open, or in my background tasks, my desktop is a slideshow
whenever I try to play a game, it's a slideshow.
uninstalled XOC, gonna restart, we'll see what happens after that
precision x is garbage
i uninstalled it because it would fuck up video playback for me
get afterburner even tho you cant change evga lights on it
Yo @Polygon it isn't worth wasting your time with that guy. He's a fucking brainlet that lives in his own little fallacy.
u rite
It seems like it's still doing it, intermittently.
ah wait, it's good now
we'll see
The only thing he said right is that Afterburner>Precision X. I've used Afterburner for like 2 years, then went to precision X for 2 years. I use afterburner again now and it's set up waayyy better.
I legitimately believe that it's due to the change in compression algorithm
The video thing? I don't think they changed the codec, and the algorithm really wouldn't do much with that lol. Even RAW video and highly compressed mkv/mp4 from my experience doesn't cause noticeable stress on GPU.
Maybe just
Trash GPU
the 980 works well, it just recently started doing this last night
I thought you meant your laptop.
no, my desktop 980 is doing this
