lt is misleading because unlike the public school system, the Catholic church does not have to publicize any accusations of any sort of abuse to a state agency. lt can get swept under the rug and nothing come of it. What happened with the PA diocese is not unique in any way, all they did was write something about it on paper and file it away. And move around priests to different places. Same with the Cardinal Mahoney scandal in California. This is what the Catholic church has done for several decades and continues to do.
