Whats a pro guns approach to preventing school shootings?

but i was talking to an exchange student from america and apparently there's police which patrol the school

i find it kinda sad

one day at my college we had a code black or something where they believed a gunman on campus. Most terrifying moment in my life. Wish I had a gun lmao
