@Bodhisattva the distance it's moving away from us is really small as the radius of the earth is no where near the distance from the earth to the sun
the 2 most common theories are its an oblate spheriod or a flat round
it doesnt move down the earth is tlted on its axis and is rotating making it look like the sun is going down
the reason the sun turns reddish at sunset
is because it has to go through more of the atmosphere
and therefore
the shorter wavelengths of light reach you
