Europe is in an interesting state compared to your time.

Many nations have embraced Islam as their dominant religion

Especially to the East and South.

Huh.

A “Crusade” was tried

Germany and France launched a coalition to retake parts of Austria

They failed.

The Islamic nations banded together quite efficiently.

The result was quite favorable for them, it gave them legitimacy on the world stage.

Defeating former titans nations was a serious step.

Of course, nuclear weapons found no use.

Interesting

The goal was to preserve life and culture. Each side just wanted different lives and different cultures.

Could I ask, what happened to Sweden? Or Scandinavia as a whole

Land area has shifted minimally, but their populations began to decline almost a century ago.

They also went into near total isolation to avoid the cultural shifts happening to their East and their South.

They still maintain good trade with the rest of Europe.

Did Sweden ever collapse financially. Currently a large influx of migrants are causing a large decline in Sweden's economy.

One of our main processors is Norwegian, even.

Sweden didn’t ever collapse completely, but the migrant crisis produced great economic strain in all of the Scandinavian countries.

Which led to their isolation in the first place.
