Afrika is actually larger than Canada , Russia , US and some other smaller countries

it is called a super continent

Azimuthal equidistant maps are based off of a globe, and its distorted, but the map works with that distortion because it knows the size of the continents and shape of the earth is not how it appears to be on the map. The flat earth map (same as the equiedstant map) has the continents being the distorted versions of it and assumes the continents are *actually* the distorted size in reality. Which is dumb.

you know the normal maps

they will get you from point A to point B

although it isnt super effective as you do weird turns even though you think you are going straight
