then it's distance rating doesn't matter
I don't even
Can i measure teh angluar distance between the sun and moon?
No. There is the apparent horizon. Anything past 600 meters isnt measurable by theodolites
so if something is more than 600 meteres away it's invisible to the theodolite/
You are either lying or mistaken
I think you don't understand what a theodolite is
i think he is mistaken
wait
nevermind
you're looking at a model that has a feature for distance measurement, whcih is an add on
No its not invisible. Its just not an accurate measurement
why wouldn't it be accurate
it's still an object in view, so why can't you measure its angular size
Look at the specs. I didnt invent it
You don't nkow what the specs mean
you're looking at one with an add on
i'm talking about regular theodolites that dont' measure distance, only angles
Because theodolites only measure up to max 600 meters
in disatnce ya, but not in angle
From the manufacturer
sure i'll show you a regualr theodolite taht measure angle
Angle
Show the specs
one taht doesn't even have a distance measuring add on
Show me the data
From the manufacturer
Enough debate
Prove it.
A theodolite doesn't measure distance anyway
and it doesn't only work for objects within a certain distance
if you can see the object you can measure teh angle between it and somethign else
How did the mayans measure teh angle between teh sun and moon? are those closer than 600m?
^nothing about distance limitation
^accuracy stated in terms of angle, not distance
No
He's talking about theodolites that have laser range feastures
