@s t a i n e d g l a s s well even in a simulation the earth would need some kind of shape to build stuff on like how games need maps they have a shape

but u say magic makes things raise hundreds or thousands of feet at the horizon for us to see

It's earth shaped

If you go in water and dive down, and swim back straight up, you will still be in the same spot. But if the earth is constantly spinning when ur underwater and come up you would be in a different spot

if the suns light were to go out it take it minutes for it to reach earth

sunlight taking 8 minutes to reach earth is not a fact

well we know the speed of light and distance to the sun, so that's an easy calc
