Cause chemistry is exact science

2019-05-05 23:05:25 UTC

thats ur belief

2019-05-05 23:06:10 UTC

Whatever makes you feel better J

2019-05-05 23:06:28 UTC

proof would make me feel better

2019-05-05 23:06:29 UTC

speed of light has been measured in a vacuum

2019-05-05 23:06:37 UTC

by who gambino

2019-05-05 23:06:47 UTC

on earth or in space

2019-05-05 23:07:01 UTC

jeez man this is a simple google search

2019-05-05 23:07:11 UTC

have we tested the speed of light in space

2019-05-05 23:07:16 UTC

yep

2019-05-05 23:07:27 UTC

bounced laser off the moon

2019-05-05 23:07:28 UTC

so we have to trust teh space agencies told us the truth

2019-05-05 23:07:30 UTC

timed the travel

2019-05-05 23:07:48 UTC

no, space agencies are just part of the scientific community

2019-05-05 23:07:56 UTC

speed of light was measured long before space travel existed

2019-05-05 23:08:11 UTC

If a person does an experiment and proves it through other people of the same field doing the experiment, what's the problem?

2019-05-05 23:08:29 UTC

by mit off the moon yet nasa defenders will still swear that experiment is proof we landed on the moon and left reflectors there

2019-05-05 23:08:47 UTC

well that is one of the pieces of evidence

2019-05-05 23:09:03 UTC

but the fact taht we brought back pieces of the moon is another compelling piece of evidence

2019-05-05 23:09:03 UTC

I think it means that you use math to calculate using known variables

2019-05-05 23:09:15 UTC

the moon rock that turned out to be petrified wood ?

2019-05-05 23:09:20 UTC

that piece of the moon ?

2019-05-05 23:09:30 UTC

no that wasn't one that was brought back

2019-05-05 23:09:53 UTC

didnt we give a moonrock to a country and it turned out to be petrified wood

2019-05-05 23:10:12 UTC

no,, the netherlands ambassodor lied about getting a moon rock, and everyone in his country believed him

2019-05-05 23:10:22 UTC

those aren't handed out like that

2019-05-05 23:10:28 UTC

especially not to some random ambassador

2019-05-05 23:10:49 UTC

I remember Jarrah White asking Buzz Aldrin about the petrified wood

2019-05-05 23:11:18 UTC

He said it must have been secretly switched out with the real moon rock

2019-05-05 23:12:16 UTC

And how fast is the Milky Way Galaxy moving? The speed turns out to be an astounding 1.3 million miles per hour

2019-05-05 23:12:51 UTC

thats slow though lol

2019-05-05 23:13:05 UTC

tell me again how we are better at space travel now than we were in 1969

2019-05-05 23:13:18 UTC

human space travel

2019-05-05 23:13:25 UTC

manned space travel

2019-05-05 23:15:18 UTC

Well, since it would take 225 million years for the sun to complete orbit around the galaxy, it is very slow.

2019-05-05 23:16:07 UTC

idk 1.3 million mph seems fast

2019-05-05 23:17:14 UTC

Relative to the vast scale of such a universe, pathetically slow it seems.

2019-05-05 23:19:39 UTC

"Seems fast" is not mathematical nor scientific

2019-05-05 23:19:53 UTC

Yeah, it is subjective

2019-05-05 23:23:03 UTC

I tend to focus on what can be proven by general observation and experiments ordinary day to day people can do, so this galactic orbit isn't really that interesting to me anyways.
I think things like earth rotation can be proven by general people in principle, as well as earth shape, no space agencies or scientific journals needed
