2017-04-05 18:49:36 UTC

twice as powerful as the ps4 pro?

2017-04-05 18:49:41 UTC

where are you getting these stats from

2017-04-05 18:49:43 UTC

they're just wrong

2017-04-05 18:50:32 UTC

4TFLOPS vs 6TFLOPS

2017-04-05 18:50:35 UTC

but welp

2017-04-05 18:50:45 UTC

4 * 2 = 6 man

2017-04-05 18:51:17 UTC

you can't be a cook and a rocket scientist

2017-04-05 18:51:37 UTC

kirk tries to make double the food with only 1 and a half times the ingredients

2017-04-05 18:51:43 UTC

that's wizardry level of math right here, you have to excuse him

2017-04-05 18:54:17 UTC

it's funny cuz the Scorpio is supposed to be all native 4k, 30fps games with physics calculated every N frames to avoid drop issues

2017-04-05 18:54:51 UTC

if they sell that shit for over 500 bucks, you're better off with a PC

2017-04-05 18:54:59 UTC

It's quite possible the tables could turn with Scorpio.
According to a survey that was taken, everyone flocked to the PS4 because of the lower price and higher power. Then devs also jumped on because of the player base and higher power.

Things have changed for Xbox;
Now there's backwards compatibility and new management that's focused on core gaming instead of VR. And on the way is more power for devs for their core games and taking a shot at native 4K with true HDR.
The PS4 Pro is a half step with scaled 4K and filtered HDR.

2017-04-05 18:55:41 UTC

"Native 4K"

2017-04-05 18:55:46 UTC

"Native"

2017-04-05 18:55:48 UTC

yup @Tech Talk, there's some people that are going to buy the Scorpio for that

2017-04-05 18:55:50 UTC

Native 4k at 2fps powerpoint

2017-04-05 18:55:52 UTC

>"Native"

2017-04-05 18:55:58 UTC

but the PS4 Pro was a 400 bucks tag

2017-04-05 18:56:08 UTC

that's why it sold that well

2017-04-05 18:56:31 UTC

400? It was over $500 here

2017-04-05 18:57:17 UTC

got it for 120 bucks by exchanging my 1st gen PS4

2017-04-05 18:57:46 UTC

I heard it had overheating issues

2017-04-05 18:57:57 UTC

some have, true

2017-04-05 18:58:03 UTC

not mine

2017-04-05 18:58:31 UTC

I'm not getting it, I'm fine with my launch PS4

2017-04-05 18:58:49 UTC

and the noise is close to zero for me since I took advantage of the fact that it was a SATAIII (unlike the PS4) to put an SSD in there

2017-04-05 18:59:15 UTC

Then the PS4 Slim had less components, overheating issues and was overshadowed by the PS4 Pro

2017-04-05 18:59:47 UTC

I know the Xbox One S had huge sales

2017-04-05 18:59:53 UTC

welp I was fine with my PS4 too, but for 120 bucks I exchange my old console for a brand new, it's still a deal to me

2017-04-05 19:00:08 UTC

When will nintendo re-release the Gamecube?

2017-04-05 19:00:14 UTC

I dunno how Xbox One S sold that well

2017-04-05 19:00:15 UTC

It's the only good nintendo console

2017-04-05 19:00:18 UTC

And the X1S was even $250 and it is again

2017-04-05 19:00:24 UTC

I mean, they are relaunching the NES

2017-04-05 19:00:24 UTC

I guess for the HDR playback

2017-04-05 19:00:29 UTC

so why not Gamecube?

2017-04-05 19:00:47 UTC

True HDR and upscaled 4K with a 4K blu-ray drive

2017-04-05 19:00:53 UTC

Oh and another shitty thing about switch is probably no virtual console

2017-04-05 19:01:03 UTC

So no classic games on the switch

2017-04-05 19:01:28 UTC

@Arhu the hardware in the gamecube was discontinued a long time ago and cost way more to produce than the NES, you get your answer
