"4K assets"

2017-07-16 07:00:12 UTC

So many games have higher resolution textures than the output resolution

2017-07-16 07:00:17 UTC

Not really something to brag about

2017-07-16 07:19:52 UTC

well it output 4k to be fair

2017-07-16 07:20:24 UTC

checkerboard 4k aka, the 4k of the poor and nothing "native" but still

2017-07-16 10:34:51 UTC

I hate these console wars

2017-07-16 10:34:59 UTC

a game having more cars is nothing to brag about

2017-07-16 10:35:16 UTC

they're 2 different franchises with different themes in mind

2017-07-16 10:35:30 UTC

It's like comparing Saints Row with Grand theft auto

2017-07-16 10:35:49 UTC

and that Native 4K is bullshi

2017-07-16 10:36:00 UTC

the same Checkerboard fuckery as PS4 Pro

2017-07-16 12:06:13 UTC

GO OD MO RN IN G!

2017-07-16 12:06:36 UTC

@Arhu pretty much lol

2017-07-16 12:07:09 UTC

People want more than just the graphics, think thats pretty obvious by the polls going around

2017-07-16 12:07:54 UTC

Yong Yea made a whole video on this, and I pretty much share his opinion, so I wont reiterate

2017-07-16 12:11:19 UTC

All i want is good framerate

2017-07-16 12:11:26 UTC

not high resolution

2017-07-16 12:11:29 UTC

this is why i love nintendo

2017-07-16 12:11:41 UTC

they're dead serious about framerate

2017-07-16 12:47:09 UTC

To add on to that, steady framerate

2017-07-16 12:47:25 UTC

I don't really care if a game holds 60 if the frame timings are all over the place

2017-07-16 15:20:11 UTC

@Arhu Well, Consoles do raise the Baseline. Game Devs could put out 4K games before the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, but only less than 1% of PC gamers played in upscaled/native 4K. Most people don't want to spend over 2K or put together their own rig.
Xbox One X raised that baseline with it already built and at an afforable price. If you put a rig together with similar parts/to true 4K, It'll cost over $1,500

2017-07-16 15:20:30 UTC

@Tech Talk thats the point no one cares about 4k

2017-07-16 15:20:43 UTC

Gimme something lower so I can have framerate

2017-07-16 15:22:18 UTC

You don't even have to spend over 2k on a rig capable of playing at 4k

2017-07-16 15:23:00 UTC

2017-07-16 15:23:16 UTC

The cheapest 4k tv here is almost $300

2017-07-16 15:23:29 UTC

He's referring to the PC not the display

2017-07-16 15:23:34 UTC

So thats $800 to play games in 4k with Xbox Sex

2017-07-16 15:23:46 UTC

O

2017-07-16 15:23:55 UTC

@dunce It costed me over 2K because I had mine put together by another company

2017-07-16 15:24:06 UTC

And you didn't have to do that though did you?

2017-07-16 15:24:36 UTC

I wasn't going to spend my time reasercing, getting seperate parts and learinging to put it all together

2017-07-16 15:24:49 UTC

People are lazy, me included

2017-07-16 15:24:51 UTC

Thats what most people do

2017-07-16 15:24:55 UTC

So how can you have an opinion on the real cost then

2017-07-16 15:25:07 UTC

Put it together

2017-07-16 15:25:41 UTC

@dunce RTU, he's a PC gamer who gave a rundown of all the parts

2017-07-16 15:25:54 UTC

Thats...his opinion?

2017-07-16 15:25:55 UTC

Even pre-built
