I see it
Yeee
well there is similarities
the skull, the wings, the rounded logo, the text that that follow the rounded logo
but that's it
there's some of them that have the exact same attributes:
oh and @Tech Talk if checkboard 4k was a thing on PC, you'd not need 500 bucks to get that running...
My PC costed me 2K, it was pre-built
remove the checkboard from the Xbox one X, and it'd run natively at 4k, but 15fps.
you can get some PC that runs game at 4k over 15 fps for less than the One X price
there's no point comparing this console to PC because it doesn't do the same thing...
Checkboard 4k vs native 4k
one is lazy and calculate only a quarter of the pixel and extrapolate others
and one is doing the full job...
it's a bit more heavier than pure and simple upscale, but it's basically just the same principe all over again
@Tech Talk see the difference and why you would need more money for you Pre built PC ?
because it doesn't deliver the same thing ^^"
no matter how many time Microsoft is using the word native, what they are doing is nothing like that
It...really doesnt?
I don't waste time putting in reaserch, buying separtate parts and learning to put it together
that's not my point, I can understand why you wouldn't do that
but the value of the PC you bought and its real value are differents, now if your PC was barely able to run 4k at 15fps, you'd have the same power more or less than a One X and you'd not have paid 2000 bucks for it, even pre built @Tech Talk
You say waste time but that time would have saved you money
so there's no point to compare the two of them if you don't compare them equally
wasting time researching is potentially wasting money 😉
which you then recoup after the research
endless loop
I know, but the point isn't really if he bought his PC pre built for 2000 or if he built it himself for 1400
His original point was that it's more expensive on PC to get console level performance
he's comparing the 4k capabilities of that PC with a console that deliver something else entierly
So it definitely is the point
checkerboard 4k has nothing to do with native 4k
so let's say he bought the part himself instead of contracting a company for that, he would have paid it 1400 or so instead of 2000
which lowers the entry point into pc gaming substantially
that would still be more expensive, no matter what, even if the total was 1000 bucks
but the fact that he's comparing it with a company that cheat people into selling "native 4k" is the real point
but as you said, the pc build actually is more powerful because it doesn't do fake 4k
it's not the traditionnal upscale technology, but it's still upscaling behind the scene...
