As it has been noted that this is a straight port of the iOS port, this is a lazy job. The battle interface is a disgusting departure from the standard method of conveyance in which a battle occurs in a standard Final Fantasy game. As well too, what I best describe the axis of selection is further changed with this change that I wholly disagree with. To better explain; in the original FFVI, when selecting which character to commit an action to, you had two frames of references as to how selection would work. The sprites were all stacked vertically, as well as being vertically listed on the battle menu. Selection is based on the battle menu, and with the redesign it favors a horizontal method of selection than the traditional vertical.
