2020-03-05 16:32:55 UTC

Interesting.

Is that an explosive?

2020-03-05 16:43:51 UTC

It’s used in gunpowder, not much of an explosive on its own

what type of shelter would be best for a deciduous forest with a decent amount of rain.

2020-03-05 16:45:27 UTC

The dry kind

2020-03-05 16:45:50 UTC

Ah yes. Thank you

2020-03-05 16:45:56 UTC

whatever you want but with a tarp hung up above it

2020-03-05 16:46:06 UTC

slanted for runoff of course

2020-03-05 16:47:48 UTC

I live in deciduous forest, and we get between 30 and 70 inches of rain annually. I usually build heavily thatched A-frames. When I have time I build a teepee style shelter, again with heavy thatch for waterproofing.

2020-03-05 16:48:39 UTC

Dense branches of broad leafs like oak as the 'base' layer of the thatch with smaller leaved branches from pecan and walnut on top.

2020-03-05 16:49:34 UTC

i was thinking about a dug out with wood framework but it might get washed out and muddy

2020-03-05 16:49:43 UTC

need to wait for summer to get started.

2020-03-05 16:51:51 UTC

I always go off the ground. In spring and fall its always wet, in summer we have red ants and other manner of biting things.
