Waiting on my baofeng ham radio , will I be able to communicate with people through it,would I need go check every frequency manually or is there certain ones already set up for different topics? Pretty gay that you need a loiiicense for moat channels

I have that radio. there is a scan option that scans the whole band. But depending on the area you may not catch much. Thankfully there are apps and websites that post government channels and frequently used stations/transmitters. Also I'm working on getting my licence. There is also an app to help you study.
