I’ve got an auger and shovels/tools so when it gets a bit warmer and I have the time I’m gonna try to build one on my land. See how it goes
My biggest fear is I’m just making a snake pit
Water table too high, river out back. Have thick stone walls but so many windows would need boarding...

Oh boy a FEMA camp!
Bro, spare a FEMA ration
Eh, they're probably going to let us evil wrongthinkers starve honestly.
I think I'll save them the time

I'll die going ape shit before I kill myself to please our overlords
i didn't prepare for shit
why are people panicking so much
Scared of corona disrupting supply chains for food and other goods
As almost everyone in modernised nations gets their food from local retailers
Lack trust in government? Either intent or ability to cope. For instance UK ‘herd immunity’ and the diagram that shows NHS capacity to cope. It’s complete BS, The NHS is constantly on its fucking knees due to vast overcrowding.
NHS can't cope on a normal Monday
They are also scared shit less on inner city’s going riot mode. Check 2011 UK riots. The there’s the centralisation of food supplies, reliance on foreign energy etc etc
UK govt is perpetually incompetent
You UK?
Or bought and paid for.
Yes
You?
Yep
honestly yes

create your own supply chains
they have a fear of running out
We went paleo / ancestral / keto years ago due to health reasons. Most of our meat is farm gate, and have been online only past couple months since this broke. I started building supplies years ago, just in case
Luckily we move to Wales from London years ago

@a homo sapien hopefully well away from London
my town has one of those old big stone distance markers, london 50 miles
😦
hope they run out of fuel first and don't fancy the walk?
you've family somewhere more remote?
we're in rural area surrounded by farms. we grow food here too
next to a town of ~5k though
and as its england, multiple towns of similar size within 10 miles and some bigger ones
then a plan is to be just as obscure / less of of a target as the next place
