Believe it or not everyone is an authoritarian even if they don’t mean to be. Even individualists. Individualists dictate that the right of self determination of a collective can not be had due to the collectivism - even if that collective voted for its own collectivization. There is no escaping nature’s simple rules of “Might is right”. Those that hold the numbers and the firepower are those that dictate what happens and what doesn’t happen.
